Two Sentence Stories

Remember back in the old days when stars were burning balls of fusion, light years away?
Now they’re just commodities and I feel we’re the poorer for that.

You really don’t need to tell me what you did.
There are no stars so it is pretty obvious.

He brought her a cup of hot tea (perfectly sweetened with honey) and when she thanked him he said, “I used the dipper in the sky, the big sparkly one — I wanted you to have celestial tea.” She thought for a moment that she saw stars in the cup.
