Forgiveness

I can finally feel my forgiveness for you growing!
It should be ready to blossom about two days after you die.

A bruise and a kiss

I kissed her softly on the bruise I’d left on her cheek.
Then we hugged there, still wearing our kimonos, and made up.

Choices

Angels sing their welcome and a golden shaft of light appears as I stare at my killer standing over my body which is sprawled on the floor, blood spatter against the wall in a grotesque portrait. The light pulses allowing me to choose forgiveness or revenge.
