They gave him a few lines in the local paper, but it wasn’t much of a story because climbers go missing in the mountains all the time and because the odds of finding a body are so slim. Naturally, a search of the area did not reveal the state of the dead man’s savings account, nor the fact that he was already many miles away, sitting in a coffee shop on 53rd and 8th, reading of his own demise.
